Dear Friends, The Singapore Artistes Association(SAA) was founded 35 years ago but halted all its activities 12 years ago. Singapore’s media and entertainment industry has since prospered and as the number of new artistes increases, it has been found necessary to once again resurrect the SAA as a means to establish a network of existing artistes, improve local acting standards to match international benchmarks and at the same time draw on the strength of the Association to aid local charities. A group of passionate individuals from the industry in recognition of this need called for a general meeting of the association in the year 2005, during which Mr. Chin Kien Pun has been elected as Chairman of the Association for 2006.
